ChooseESC! in Slovenia

On 1 September 2008, the ChooseESC campaign was presented during the inauguration of the first state of the art driving center in Slovenia. The opening of the impressive »Safe Driving Centre« of the Slovenian Automobile Club AMZS in Vransko (close to Ljubljana) was visited by more than 2.000 guests, including politicians, media, club members and others interested in safety.

Speakers included Dragutin Mate, Slovenian Minister of the Interior; Franc Sušnik, Mayor of Vransko; AMZS President Boris Perko; and Franco Lucchesi, Deputy President, Automobile Mobility & Tourism of the FIA.

After the official part, guests discovered the driving centre by taking part in various presentations and demonstrations. Approximately 1.500 persons took the opportunity to join professional drivers for a co-ride and to experience the safety benefits of ESC. An information desk provided more information about ESC and the ChooseESC campaign.
